Professional and home based systems.

If you want to maximize your profits...
this is the place. Other sites will just sell you
airbrushing systems.

It's marketing, products, and other services. There are three airbrush tanning services. Top-to-toe only, when the weather is cold won't get you traffic.

PRODUCTS WILL BE AT LEAST 1/3 YOUR PROFITS! Two products (body wash without the usual detergent, and tan extender) are profitable. With the right script, almost everyone will buy them. That leads to the entire product line. All natural, hand-made. Private labeling available. You keep all the profits - I don't make a penny!

Investment..nothing! But you really should purchase $100 worth of items for just $65, to show clients. They will purchase from the catalog you will hand them.

By the way, the tan extender is easily sold as a "sun screen (SPF 15 or 30) that tans you".
The formula was my idea 10 years ago. Contains 5% DHA. Easily sold to anyone who uses sun screen.

WHERE TO FIND CLIENTS. We can discuss working with salons, spas, college dorms, high school fund raisers, postcards, website, business cards, and working mobile.

   NEW SYSTEM CONFIGURATION. LOWER PRICING

I'm in the process of re-doing the site. I can get top-of-the-line
1/8 hp (horsepower) and 1/6 hp compressors with auto-shutoff and a regulator at a great price.

New home airbrush tanning system.
Click on "Airbrush Tanning Systems"
on the navigation bar.

Shown on the right...  ONLY $250

Single Piston Compressor

Dual Piston Compressor

This 1/8 hp compressor can be used
for airbrush tanning, airbrush makeup, airbrush tattoos, airbrush nails and art projects. It's the compressor that I recommend. 7 lbs.

I've found that this works fine with the .7 airbrush.

This 1/6 hp compressor would be used with the .7 nozzle airbrush as an alternative to messy and noisy HVLP systems. It can also be used for the services mentioned to the left.

It's just $80 more than the single piston on the left. and would be slightly faster for airbrush tanning.
9 lbs.

Above: bottom-feed airbrush
Top right: faster bottom-feed airbrush
Right: Top-feed airbrush with optional
spray cleaner bottle. The cleaner bottle
is $25 and looks more professional than
spraying excess makeup into a paper
towel.

For $395 you get:

1/8 hp compressor with auto-shutoff and a true regulator.)
quart of tinted airbrush tanning solution
20 oz. of clear airbrush tanning solution
bottle of tan extender
bottle of body wash
.5 dual action airbrush
Airbrush cleaner
Three bottles (one each for tinted, clear and cleaner)
videos, written instructions, and easily a $1,000 extra in marketing support, materials and resources you'd never find on your own!

GUARANTEED...You will become an expert in marketing, copywriting and retailing.
I will give you a listing of many sites that offer valuable free information.

Add $85 to upgrade to a gallon of tinted airbrush tanning solution and a quart of clear solution.

Add $60 for a high speed airbrush.  The needle/nozzle is .7 vs. the standard .5, which is o.k. for home use. It speeds up top-to-toe airbrush tanning by 20%. Probably close to an HVLP systems speed without the noise and mess. The HVLP system cannot do the other profitable services.

AIRBRUSH MAKEUP - Add $100
for a top-feed airbrush. Budget $100 to $200 for the airbrush makeup. It comes as either water-base or silicon-base. We can discuss the differences when you call.

This is so easy to do and so profitable. You can achieve a great look in 3 minutes and charge $10 to $15. You need this service!

Add $65 for $100 worth of Madame Renaud Naturals products to resell. This becomes your steadily growing business over time. The products are better than what the spas are selling and retail is at drug store pricing. You can initially use these as samples and take orders from the catalog. The products can be imprinted with your information and design. After I start you off you will purchase wholesale directly from Michele at MRN. See www.madamerenaud.com .

Add $25 for the cleaner bottle as pictured above. Used for airbrush makeup and airbrush tattoos.

Other Systems:

Some of my competitors are selling compressors that are "overkill" for airbrush tanning. You don't want to run multiple stations off one compressor. My compressors weigh 7 or 9 pounds. Some of those other ones weigh 30 pounds. You don't need an air tank. I can get you whatever you see on other sites, but I'm going to be blunt when it comes to your wasting your money.

I can get you any brand-name compressor you see on other sites, whether they are small or large. Many come from the same manufacturer, but are labeled and priced differently.

HVLP Systems:

There probably aren't more than 5% of airbrushing businesses doing more than 10 people a day. The HVLP isn't going to save you a lot of time, when you factor in drying time. (I have two simple ways to cut drying time at least by 1/2). Three people a day is your first, easy goal. This translates to about $2,000 per month profit, not including the extra $1,000 you should be doing in retail products.

I can get you a good HVLP system if you want one. Unlike the systems shown that can do airbrush makeup and airbrush tattoos, the HVLP can only do airbrush tanning.

So many salons, spas and individuals who have purchased systems from other vendors find that their business drops to nothing from September to April. Follow my advice and you're profits will be level and grow.

Tanning Solutions - The vast majority will slowly turn from brown to muddy to green after a few months on the shelf (and you don't know when it was made). Most manufacturers use blue, yellow and red to make brown. Red is volatile (it just disappears)...and when blue and yellow are left...We had this problem a few years ago (replaced many a gallon for free), and came up with a beautiful tint that doesn't require three colors. Be forewarned.

Also, many have additives that don't work as described. All quality solutions cost about the same to make. You can pay too much and also too little (there are shortcuts and DHA percentages that aren't truthful.

Call me at 339-645-2221 or 978-408-8280 any time, Monday through Sunday.
ART DERFALL, Owner (10 years as a distributor)

I prefer not to have "buy now" buttons because it's important for you to call me first. Let's discuss how you really can make money. The other distributors who are priced close to my pricing just can't give the same amount of support.  Some of it is knowledge (mine), but it boils down to their accountants won't let them give away their time for free. I don't have an accountant.

My terrible business model is well-designed for your advantage! Once I've gotten you started, I have you order products directly from my sources at my prices. I want you to maximize your service and product sales profits. No other vendor will do this.

The systems shown above are superior to my prior offerings shown below.  They are still available and capable. Choose one of these first two if a small compressor is needed or desired.

With the larger compressor above (7 lbs. vs. 3 lbs. for the 3 to 4 lbs. of the two shown below), I suggest a single large case for $45.

From experience, my customers like to try both the water base and silicon base makeup. I don't include bright colors, but instead substitute two neutral blush colors,  gold and silver. A light misting looks great on face and hair.

New Iwata Silver Jet compressor. Add only $25 to the order. Smart looking, light weight and it has a built-in gauge. The single piston compressor shown above is a better choice for less money, but it's your choice.

Airbrush tanning represents only 1/2 your potential income!
Learn how to drive you airbrush tanning competitors crazy (or
    keep them away).
Most airbrush tanning businesses do little business outside of
the "bathing suit season". Learn how to level your income
    all year long.

You can reach $2,000 per month profits quickly, and I help you every
step of the way. It's only three clients a day and you can do better.

Any system selling for less than mine will cost you more in lost revenues,
flexibility, and reliability. There's a lot of junk available for $199 and $299.

My airbrush tanning solution at $115 per gallon is better than solutions selling for twice the price. You will see solution selling for upwards of $400 per gallon. There are subtle (but important) differences between solutions. The industry secret is that all solutions cost about the same to make (within $15 for a gallon). Do you really want to pay an extra $100 or more for water, the major component?

Want it this way or that way (you shouldn't need to)? No problem...We can customize a gallon or more to your specifications. Ask any other vendor to do that!

A full line of retail products. Higher quality than most spa and department store brands, with retail pricing at drug store levels. 35% or 50% margins. Private labeling available.

Lighted makeup mirrors
for sale. I've made about 150 of them and they are in use by makeup companies, makeup artists, Las Vegas performers and in homes. They come in 6 or 8 light models.

You are on AirbrushSalon.com because:
You want to add airbrush tanning to your salon or spa.
You want to start a home-based or mobile business.
You've been to the other sites and are totally confused as to who has the "best" airbrush tanning system.
You've been airbrush tanning for a while and want to make more money, you have competition, or your business has slacked off.
Your distributor won't return your calls (I get other distributors' clients calls every day).
You want a system to do your own tanning and makeup at home in order to save money.
You want a free sample of solution to try. I'll send it.
Here are the facts and my guarantee:

Airbrush tanning alone represents 50% of the potential income.
The rest of the money (in order) comes from airbrush makeup, retail products, airbrush tattoos, transfer tattoos, and airbrush nails (forget what you think you know about it).

Any system priced above what I'm charging is too expensive. Lower - you're not getting as much or won't make as much.
Those inexpensive systems on other sites (the blue compressor with the red handled airbrush) are noisy and unreliable. The airbrush is a crude external mixing type which does not spray a fine mist. It's barely suitable for airbrush tanning and can't be used for the other services.

I have access to every brand of compressor and airbrush, but the systems that I market can handle 20 people per day, and do all the airbrushing services.

You can resell systems to clients that do not live near you, such as vacationers. The small (but powerful) system is the only system your clients will consider putting in their bathroom for airbrush tanning and airbrush makeup.

Airbrush Salon's tanning solution at $35/quart or $115/gallon is as good as (if not better than) solutions selling for $200 per gallon. There are no "magical" ingredients in any solution, but there's a right way to manufacture it.

Marketing is the key, and there are some simple ways to get lots of clients quickly. I help you for free.

You don't need expensive training. You can learn from the videos and written instructions.

Most airbrush tanning professionals make the same common mistakes and earn nowhere near their potential.  You don't have to worry about competition; just follow the plan.

Have a web site? Need one? There are four excellent design tools with hosting beginning at $8.88 per month that will enable you to get a site up and running without special skills.

The vast majority of local business websites are not designed in an optimum way to bring in business. They are nothing more than online brochures with a map to the place. It's not difficult to do it right and I can help you. Best of all, I work cheap because I find it fun.

The requisite "before and after":

Before

After

Too much (orange)

Way too much (but common)

Sorry. I didn't want to spend the money for the bikini model.
You'll find plenty of photos on other sites.

I've avoided putting a shopping cart on the site, because I feel it's  important that I talk to every one of my prospective clients, even if their interest is just airbrush tanning solution. You can call me seven days a week with questions or to order.

You can't maximize your profits by purchasing a system without a 30 minute phone call. I have clients airbrush tanning 15 to 20 people per day because they utilized my free marketing materials.

Shown right is a HVLP (high volume, low pressure) system just for airbrush tanning. Some people swear by them, but I think that they limit your services and profits.

A complete system with a gallon of tinted tanning solution, a quart of clear tanning solution, and four bottles of tan extender for resale is $395.
HVLP airbrush tanning system

Overnight compressor replacement or loaners are available. With other distributors you have a two week turnaround if the system goes down. You could be losing hundreds of dollars and customers, too, while waiting.

I've been a distributor of airbrush tanning systems and solution for longer than 95% of my competitors. When everything is considered, my systems will cost you far less than what you will find on other sites. You can pay a little less, but it's going to harm your business.
Compressors:  There are two types - diaphragm and piston. Diaphragms are noisier and less reliable. The small Metal Mini compressor and the Iwata in the photos are piston types. Both can do 20 people a day top-to-toe.

Airbrush tanning, makeup, and tattoos require pressures of 10 to 15 psi. The two non-HVLP compressor put out 30+ psi. You don't need a compressor that can do 80 psi. I've seen them on other sites, and they are expensive, heavy, and overkill for the job. If you want to spray T-shirts, that's another story.

The expensive 80 psi system can run two hoses at once, but you aren't going to be spraying two half-naked people in the same room. If the compressor dies, you have no backup. Two of the Iwata Sprintjet compressors (on the right) cost the same as one large Iwata Powerjet.

S
ome compressors have an auto-shutoff feature (Badgers and Iwata Smartjets). I don't like the cycling on and off and it creates power bursts.
Airbrushes: There are four types - external mixing, single action, dual action, and HVLP. The red handled one you see on many sites is a very inexpensive external mix type. It does not put out a fine mist and is useless for airbrush makeup and tattoos. Junk.

A single action airbrush is a little better, but you have to play with a dial in order to modify the amount of product being sprayed. So-so. If you want one, I have them. The savings is only $10.

A dual action airbrush (the one I include) can do everything. Varying the amount of product being sprayed is intuitive by moving the trigger back and forth. Most of the time while spray tanning, you will have the trigger all the way back.  You'll be running the compressor at around 15 psi. Our solution doesn't need high pressure like some of the stickier ones require.

Airbrush Tanning Solution

The solutions give a great long-lasting tan and are made fresh weekly. Some solutions from other sources may have been on their shelves for months. The active ingredient, DHA,  alone can be drying to the skin; that's why you shouldn't use a greater than 12% DHA solution and sell your clients after-shower tan extender. All offer sun protection of SPF15.

Many solutions have alcohol in them resulting in a large cloud in a small room. You don't want alcohol.

The
8% DHA solution is just right for the average 5' 5" to 5' 8" client with medium skin tone. You will use the entire 2 oz. bottle. If they are larger, smaller, or snow white you adjust the amount. Try the 10% solution later on.

We have been shipping the airbrush tanning solution in the U.S. and overseas as a concentrate to save on shipping costs. You just add distilled water. It's an option, however.

The solution comes in clear and tinted. You should have both on hand (more about this later). The tinted solution does help you see where you have sprayed. The tinted and clear tan the person in 6 to 10 hours. No one is instantly tan with the tinted solution. Some sprayers are telling that fib.

The tint should look brown. Our brown will be different than someone else's. Most solutions are way too dark, however. The color looks awful on many faces and the client is usually disappointed when they shower later and the lighter real tan is revealed.

For most people, the darkness of the Airbrush Salon tinted solution is about the same darkness as the final tan.

I have clients who never use the tinted solution; their clients don't care. They know that they will be tan later. If your clients want to look dark, just buy 2 oz. of extra tint from me and add drops as needed. A $10 bottle will last you a long time.

The 8% DHA tanning solution is $115 per gallon in clear or tinted.
The 10% DHA tanning solution is $120 per gallon.
The 12% DHA tanning solution is $125 per gallon.

Use the 8% solution if you are new to airbrush tanning and then try a quart of the 10% solution to see if you like it. It's faster because you will use less, but it's less forgiving for uneven spraying.

All offer sun protection of SPF 15.

Intensity drops with copper amino acids only have an affect when exposed to sunlight. Our supplier was honest enough to tell us this. We have them if you want them, but I think they are a waste of money.

We have fine sparkle gold and bronze that you can add or spray on as a final step. A one oz. bottle is $16 and looks great over the airbrush makeup, too. A four oz. bottle is $40.

Airbrush Makeup: This service complements the airbrush tanning. If you take your client's makeup off and spray their face with the clear tanning solution, you are set up to do the makeup for free as a demo.

There's a $10 makeup service that no one is doing. I call it "going out Friday, Saturday, or I've got an important business meeting" service. You will do airbrush foundation, blush, and use the same blush color for some quick eye shadow. The client does her own lipstick, liner, and mascara. It's two or three minutes of your time and very easy. I'm terrible with a brush, but great with an airbrush.

You can do wedding parties in a flash and address the needs of those who can't afford the usual $55 to $150 for the bride and something less for the bridesmaids.

Airbrush makeup is easier to do than airbrush tanning and more fun. The makeup comes in water base and silicon base. It's explained on another page.

Airbrush Tattoos: You will do it on body, face, and hair. Whenever I've asked in a salon "Who wants an airbrush tattoo?" I've had a stampede of women 40 to 70 years of age. The transfer tattoos are popular, too and look real. You transfer the image to skin and hand paint them in. You can also sell the kits.
